happy birthday, LadyBluebird
Today (as you may be able to tell by the title above) is LadyBluebird’s ‘birthday’! 2 years ago today, I published my first post, and boy have I come a long way.
In fact I’ve come such a long way that I can barely stand to go back and read my first few posts, they’re so cringy. (I’ve thought about taking them down, but decided to leave them for the time being, in case brave readers like yourself dare to dive into the depths of my blogging ignorance and less-than-great writing from 2 years prior. Let’s just say I improved a lot.)
blast from the past (looking back on a year of blogging)
This year I really started working on my email list (which has grown to nearly 60 subscribers, thank you guys!!) and started sending out my monthly newsletter, Sunday Letters, which has been a big hit, and so much fun to write.
I celebrated 50 subscribers in October and commemorated with a successful haiku contest!
This year I also started my Young Writers blog series! So far in the series we have Anna B., Pearl Christine, and Ella Em (with more to come this year).
I launched the Community, and have enjoyed networking with other bloggers (a totally new experience for me).
I also started Abby’s Book Corner, where I share book recommendations (and you can share some of your own).
Oh, and I still share Words on my Words page (though lately it’s been painfully neglected).
I was published on The Pearl (an online magazine founded by SOKW), and loved sharing my story with all of you!
I’m probably forgetting something, but I’d say that’s about the gist of it. Thank you all for another great year!
