He loves you madly (eat some chocolate to celebrate)

Well, it’s Valentine’s day, and I’m sure we all know that means a lot of garishly red and pink froufrou decorations, over-hyped romance, and Titanic coming out in theatres again. Most of us probably don’t do much. I mean, if we don’t have dates or anything why celebrate, unless to eat some heart-shaped chocolate?

I only have a couple minutes to write this post, so I’ll go quick… mostly what I’m wanting to say tonight is that on Valentine’s Day, when most of the world is caught up in overhyped romance, we as Christians have something so much deeper. We have a God who loves us madly.

Isn’t that cause to be grateful? Whether you have a significant other or no, you can rest assured you have a magnificent lover in Jesus who will stop at nothing to win your affection. Take a moment today, enjoy your heart-shaped chocolate, and tell Jesus you love him madly. What better way to celebrate?
