The Librarian’s Ruse – OUT NOW!

Hey peeps!

If you think back to my last post you’ll remember that I’m on Thirzah’s launch team for her new book, The Librarian’s Ruse – which means it is my honor and duty to announce that TODAY, AUGUST 8, you can officially buy this book!!

Not sure you want to spend money on a book you know nothing about? I don’t blame you. That’s why I’ve written a little review for you. 😉

I liked this book a lot! It’s short, 109 pages, and I read it in a couple of hours. It’s fast paced, low fantasy with a regency vibe to it – lots of well dressed nobles and fancy balls are involved – and while there is some light, clean romance (handsome emperors, anyone!?!?), perhaps the most prominent relationship showcased is a brother-sister relationship. There’s some really interesting dynamics presented through this sibling relationship, which I thought was an interesting element for a genre of stories that doesn’t often show this kind of relationship.

The main character, Lia, is a librarian – also an interesting twist on fantasy. You don’t encounter many librarians in fantasy novels. But I liked it. 😂 When Lia and her brother Leon are mistaken for people they most definitely aren’t, they have to decide whether to tell the truth and risk imprisonment, OR, pretend to be these strangers. Before they know it, the siblings are caught up in high society as the emperor’s honored guests, and deceptions pile up until Lia is forced to decide which she values more: the truth, or her life??

Lots of plot twists, witty dialogue, and intriguing characters, and I couldn’t put this book down.

Also, Thirzah is just a really great gal. I’ve had the privilege of being able to email with her here and there when she was helping me edit my story The Cactus Epistles for publication on The Pearl, and she is so sweet!

She’s also the very first graduate from the writing trade school in OH, The Company.

I know she would so appreciate your support and your help in making her first novel a success!

Be sure to check out her book today! Find it on Amazon here.

Until next time–

Abby
