a love letter

God spoke this to me recently. I wrote it down and thought I’d share – this is new for me.
I pray somebody is blessed by these words.

Dearest child,

I love you unconditionally. Think about that for a minute – what does unconditionally mean?

It means without any conditions. It means I love you because I love you, and no other reason. There are no precedents, nothing I’m trying to get out of the deal, nothing you have to do to earn it.

I love you because I love you, it’s that simple.

And my love is BOUNDLESS.

There are no restraints you can put on my love, there’s nothing you can do to stop it or keep it in a box. I won’t let you do that. No matter how much you resist, I’ll keep whispering to you my love, and I’ll tell you,

My dear, dear child,

Stop trying to earn my love.

Stop it right now.

Let yourself sit still a minute and just let my love wash over you, like floodwater. Let yourself become utterly engulfed in it. Let yourself drown in my love.

I know you feel alone right now. But I tell you right now that it isn’t true. Don’t let yourself think that… It’s not true.

You are not alone.

Right here, right now… I am with you. In the room. Imagine me standing right across from you on the other side of the desk, my eyes meeting yours, and don’t look away. See my eyes? Don’t look away.

You are fully known.

You are loved.

You are so, so deeply, unimaginably loved.

There is nothing that you need to do to earn any of this.

I love you even when you mess up.

I love you when you don’t believe it.

I love you when you hate yourself.

Please don’t forget it.
